Henna / Jagua
Appointment Prep
& Aftercare

Natural henna (reddish-brown) and jagua (blue-ish black) stains are perfectly safe & temporary adornments for all body art enthusiasts.
Follow these instructions for best results:
Please shower/wash the skin prior to appointment and do not use any oils or lotions on the area to allow the plant dye to stain the surface.
Allow 30 minutes for the henna/jagua paste to dry, especially before driving.
Leave dried henna/jagua paste on the skin at least 4 hours for a great stain. You can leave the paste on for up to 8 hours, but that's not always required for a dark stain.
To achieve a dark and lasting stain:
4-8 hours after paste application- remove the henna/jagua paste with a DRY paper towel over a trashcan or outdoors over grass/dirt
***Most Important Step: DO NOT USE WATER to remove the paste and DONβT GET FRESH STAIN WET for the FIRST 24 HOURS following paste removal! (The more dry you can keep your fresh stain during the first few days of color development will determine how dark your stain results will be)***
Fresh henna stains will start off as a bright orange on day 1 and oxidizes to a reddish brown color over the first 48-72 hours. Your henna stain will be its full darkness by day 3.
Fresh jagua stains will start off as a light gray-ish green color on day 1 and develops to a dark blue-ish black color over the first 48-72 hours. Your jagua stain will be its full darkness by day 3.
Fully mature henna/jagua stains are completely waterproof after day 3 and the stains last anywhere from 7-14 days depending on body placement and rate of exfoliation there.
Avoid exfoliating over henna/jagua stain surface for longest lasting results.
