Hello, I’m Hoku — artist/owner of Hokulani Henna. I’ve been a henna body artist for 10 years, currently based in Oklahoma City and love to empower others through this natural and safe body adornment. Henna is a joyous plant, having long been used in times of celebration to bring protection and positivity to the wearers of its reddish/brown stain. The artistry and symbols developed in adorning people with henna are so varied, and is so accessible now thanks to modern shipping technologies. I provide henna body art adornment services, teach beginner’s henna classes, and sell handmade organic body art henna cones & products.
My specialities include maternity henna, bridal henna, henna parties/events, and classes. I’ve adorned clients at big Indian weddings, small intimate blessingways, bridal showers, birthdays, corporate events, local festivals, and more. I strive to always bring good vibes and good designs to all occasions and appointments. Most of what I do is intuitive freestyle botanical and geometric design work, with an auspicious symbol or two tucked in, for extra good vibes ;)
